We found Dawe Heating: via the internet and were pleasantly surprised by all elements of the service from the friendly and professional manner of the receptionist to the thorough, careful and knowledgeable demeanor of the plumber sent to carry out the works. Whilst a relatively simple task of immersion heater replacement, this has been a constant issue that historically has never been fixed properly on the first attempt. They got it in one and it's very reassuring to know that we finally have a good reliable plumber close by. All in all the service was excellent and cost was extremely reasonable.

Boiler repair (twice!): Excellent work. We found them by going to the boiler manufacturers and getting a list of local approved firms. They were good on the phone and good in person. Came quickly, diagnosed promptly and then went out and got the parts. And then two weeks later the boiler in the upstairs office went and they did it all again but were honest enough to say it was not as big a problem and only needed a smaller, inexpensive part. Job done, no probs. We'd use them again and recommend them to anyone round here.

I wanted a new combi-boiler: fitted and did some research to find the best model for my type of setup. I asked a number of local plumbers to quote and most wanted to sell me their own type of boiler and weren't interested in what I actually wanted and tried to fob me off with the usual excuses. They also quoted huge amounts for what was just a boiler fitting and commissioning.

By luck I found the address for Dawe Heating & Gas in Merthyr and called them. A young lady called Laura arranged for Ceri to come and see me and he listened to my ideas and then agreed that it was an excellent choice (what a nice change that was!). He gave me the lowest quote and the job was completed very quickly and extremely professionally about 3 weeks later.

The boiler has now been in for 2 years and has reduced my gas bills by 70%. Dawe Heating come and service it every year and do a general health check on the system.

They are very different to most other Plumbing and heating companies in that they constantly strive to improve the services they provide and understand that a happy customer is the most important part of the equation.

What this whole episode taught me is that not all Pluming and Heating companies are the same. You make your choice and you pay your money and then you hope that everything will end up OK. With these the hope bit is somewhat redundant I am pleased to say.

You are probably all thinking that I work for them after this enthusiastic little piece, but the truth is that if I tell you about how good they are and you use them then they will undoubtedly be around for many years to come, which suits me!

Boiler replacement- great job, very knowledgeable and very professional:
Looking for a contractor to replace the boiler we inherited with our flat, I talked to several companies and had five to come in and give us quotes (including some very big ones). Ceri from D, Heating was by far the most knowledgeable person that I talked to, picked up all the main issues straight away and came up with alternatives. He gave me a clear sense that he knows his job very well and he made suggestions that were suitable in our case.
